Why should billionaires line their pockets while our communities struggle with staggering bills and an NHS at breaking point?
Last year, Britain’s super-rich boosted their wealth by £31 billion while workers were forced to strike for a fair piece of the pie.
This inequality isn’t inevitable. Our elected politicians could be securing good wages, health care and housing for us all while also raising money for climate action by taxing wealth and capital at the same rate as income.
It’s already working in other countries like Norway, Spain and Switzerland. Time for this Government to follow suit and hardwire fairness and care back into our society.
