GND Rising is a movement of young people from every part of the UK. We are millennials and Gen Z – and we are united by the experience of growing up in an age of crisis.
We believe that as young people we have a unique perspective on the climate crisis and the impact it will have on us in the future.

Our organising is driven by and centres the voices of Gen-Z and Millenials for this reason.
But we know that what we’re fighting for is huge, and that things only change when we rise up together. And we know that everyone has something to lose to the climate crisis and everything to gain by stopping it.
So if you’re over 35 and want to support our movement, we welcome you! We want to make space to learn from and be supported by people outside of our generation, and there are important roles you can play.
1. Join (or stay on) our mailing list
We’ll send you ways to take action and get involved through our mailing list – but some opportunities will be aimed at 16-35 year olds as the front line of our movement.
If you’re ok with that, we would love you to stay on our list and look out for opportunities aimed at all ages, like digital actions, large scale mobilisations or ways to build the movement.

2. Set up a regular donation
One of the most useful things you can do, if you can afford to, is to set up a regular donation to support our work. We’ll use your contributions to fund our work building a strong youth movement for a Green New Deal in the UK.

3. Ask your MP to back the Green New Deal bill
We challenge MPs in order to force them to pick a side: either back the Green New Deal, or side with climate deniers, fossil fuel companies and billionaires. The Green New Deal Bill is the only piece of legislation in Parliament that faces up to the scale of the challenge and acts accordingly.
Read more about the bill here and find out if your local MP has backed the bill already – if not, write them an email!
4. Join your local GND UK hub
You can also get involved with Green New Deal UK – an all-ages network of local hubs taking action across the UK for a Green New Deal. Sign up to the mailing list here, and look out for a local hub on the map near you:
